Still not what was planned for today, but anyway...The challenge was to take a random animation GIF from internet and to do the same kind, with the same level of details, trying to not give it more. All with of course an original character and in less than 5h. I finished it in 3h, and used the remaining time to get her an alternative (unpublished) costume for a friend.

If you seen yesterday's entry for the New Year Challenge you may have noticied the (almost) 50 shoes I drew before one was "good enough" for me to move on the next step of the work in progress. This "intentional downgrade of style" is a way to train on not losing too much time on something, and respecting the technical specifications of a given work (not going full colored shading for a lineart because of being curious about how it would look like when finished, for exemple...)
This is also a way to train on Chibi, a style I am not used to draw...

For those wondering about who is this OC, she is a secret character from LC project, whose clothes are inspired by Ys series designs. I know the hair may make you think of a certain pokemon's character but she is from this 10 years old project of mine and already had this kind of impossible haircut from the start. For those wondering why the eye colors are the same aswell, it's simple. I was avoiding the "blue eyes blond godess" trope back then, plus, it is a hint about the fact the is related to a character I already introduced in a previous work. Well, at least to his familly.
